Self Propelled wheelchair hire will allow you to rent a wheelchair with large wheels on the back. The large wheels allow the user to propel themselves over short distances and is ideal if they have the upper body strength to steer and drive the chair on their own.
A Self Propelled Wheelchair, because of the large wheels, is also an ideal wheelchair for outdoor use. The standard size for our self propelled wheelchair hire is an 18inch seat width. If you require another size, please contact us on 1890 989 353 and we will do our best to accommodate other sizes.
Depending on availability we reserve the right to offer a similar or a higher specification wheelchair to use the specific user.
An elevating leg rest can be added to your wheelchair rental at a cost of €12 per week per leg rest. Please contact us if you need to add this to your order.
You can rent our self propelled wheelchairs for one week or more. Extending your rental is easy, just contact us on 1890 989 353 and we will inform you of any additional charges at that time.
